Checchi is a pretty weak candidate. For one thing, he believes that rapists and molesters should be executed because they have murdered a person's SPIRIT!! That is a little bit kooky, even for out here.

Gray Davis is, um, as dynamic as, um, well, I have lived here almost all my life and I have absolutely no idea what he even looks like, he is so bland, and no idea what platform he is running on. You would have to conclude at the very least that his campaign needs to be a little more efficient at getting the word out. I have seen zero ads for him.

Jean Harman threw her hat into the ring, I believe after Feinstein decided not to run, and is running a very effective campaign, and moving ahead.

On the Republican side, Dan Lundgren is a very strange guy. I think he is just way too conservative for the tastes of most Californians.
