Tom-insider buying and selling was one of the key things I looked for in taking long and short positions in companies. Now, selling seems to make little difference. I guess it's like earnings, revenues, book value and other "statistics" that are irrelevant in this market. I still use it on the long side, but supply and demand outweighs all else.

Best Wishes,

Timoteo

Insider selling -

"America Online Inc.'s chief executive, Steve Case, recently sold 500,000 shares in a move partly related to his recently finalized divorce, said people familiar with the situation."

That's around forty million dollars. Is the ex-wife still available?
If management is pulling out, we're entering the gambling zone. The question now is whether the blowoff will come this spring, perhaps already in the next three weeks, or be extended for another couple of years. I'm waiting for AMZN, AOL, and YHOO to spurt some twenty points before they fall, to form a clear top, but it may be more prudent to short now.
