Richard,
Check www.compaq.com They had some education computers for $499 some time back. These may be confused with the business computers they are moving out of the channel.

I recently heard that Win98 does not need a faster cpu then P166, but you better be able to upgrade memory to 100M to run it on a P166. Wonder if older PCs have the room to upgrade memory? Maybe they can add slots for the added memory. I can upgrade my P133 to a P200. Have to check on the memory aspect. I upgraded to 50M to run some applications better some time ago. I think I have room to handle the added 50M. Oh well this may be one of those rumors, and I'm not going to worry about it.

Hmmm, sounds like some hardware upgrades and PC replacements might be in the works. Anybody know a web site holding fourth on Win98?
