Jabberwokky Jane: You simply KNOW this -- HOW? Through osmosis? Through choosing to ignore facts that conflict with your house-of-cards belief structure? Or is it through a deep-seated death-wish? I think you are jumping to conclusions and to confusion much too fast! If I may say so, I think that in another dozen years or so, hopefully, you might experience that apperception that will tell you what you have just now read in this Nostradamus thread is not without basis of truth. The fact that lots of folks don't seem to know about the manuscripts does not necessarily mean they are fiction. It is not necessarily true that the lamas of Tibet would like to secrete them away forever. Rather, to my mind, it is the Church and champions of the Church that have a vested interest to keep their flocks of sheep ever so faithful by keeping them ignorant about the existence of such vile manuscripts. If indeed the lamas of Tibet would prefer to shield the manuscripts from prying eyes, they must have a very good reason for doing so. It could be they are meant for viewing only by the worthy initiates of mystery schools and by scholars of note. Also, after so many centuries, the manuscripts are in a very delicate state and the keepers cannot run the risk of having them handled by any curious Tom, Dick or Harry or Jack, Jill or Jane, on a whim! Otherwise, the dignity or sacredness of the manuscipts would have been lost. Did you know that for a good number of years when the body of St. Francis Xavier was on display in a glass case, nothing untoward happened to that naturally preserved body. However, when it was on exhibition with the glass case removed, one big toe of the Saint went missing. And the culprit was a young naughty lady who, while she was kissing the feet of the Saint, bit off one of the big toes and walked out of the church with it. (The authorities quickly put the body back under the protective glass cover lest some copycat might make off with the other toe!) However, the missing toe was subsequently recovered, apparently only after the culprit decided she has had enough of a toeful of saintly goodness! See what I mean when something unique becomes readily accessible to many? As a person with an objective mind, I have to say that I tentatively accept the existence of those manuscripts until it is proven beyond a reasonable doubt they do not exist. BTW, there is a proverb which says, "A man/woman convinced against his/her will is of the same opinion still." DOWN WITH INTOLERANCE AND BIGOTRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
