Mandinga, If you are looking for well positioned "Cheap" oil stocks, bet on PTEN. This is a heck of a well undervalue stock trading at 12 5/8. I bought in last Friday at 10 1/8. This stock is worth about $31. Heavy volumes this week.

Growing at the rate of 31%. P/E 11.3, $1.05 earnings ($1.86 before the down-turn). Reached 32 in October before all oil stocks began to drop. It hit 62 in July, split 2:1 and hit 65 again by October before it began to drop to current levels. This is a high flier, fast moving stock during good times. I believe we all agree the worse times are over for the industry. So there is no other way for this stock to go but up since it has already reached the basement. In its way to 23.

By the way, while you look at this baby, take a look at PDS as well. This is also a drilling company (Canadian) which does well on both the oil and gas sector. They just double sales and increased earnings significantly even during bad times. In its way to 32.

Mandinga, What do you mean "sell at 28"?
Looks to me if all goes reasonably well that we will have some resistance at 26, then move to 30, if we can take that out look for 36. Well, thats my game plan, but I have been wrong before.
If, however, 28 is your target...sell, no one ever went broke taking a profit.

Good investing,
Duncan

Any thoughts on HMAR? I bought some today.
