Thanks for the follow-up, Wahoograd.

I've got to think the market is underestimating the significance of Mr. Allen's move to WAVX. WAVX is a relatively cash-poor company unable to pay hefty salaries and big perks. Zillions of small companies would want someone with these credentials and connections, and probably could pay more. Everything is in WAVX's potential, and he probably knows the full story on both WAVX's and IBM's side of the ledger (perhaps things the two companies do not even know yet from the other!)

Revenue splits look extremely favorable; thanks for the further explanation.

I tried diligently to find that article on new PC products by IBM, but could not. I don't know if it was on this thread, the Yahoo thread, or in connection with another tech company. I vaguely recall the article talking about price competition in the sub-$1000 PC arena, with mention of new products by IBM and perhaps Compaq. SI post 1370 (this thread) has a link to the NYC conference, which may have significance to you. I confess ignorance of technical issues.
