Jesse - thxs, I've printed out both the bedrock and drift thickness maps in color, very helpful to know that Marum is in a good location.

The other thing I didn't realize is that the auger is actually capable of bringing up 3" core, at least that is what I have been told, and have requested further confirmation of this.

I and perhaps many thought of an auger as one would use for a post hole digger, screwing the earth up out of the way. Apparently an auger is capable of bringing up kimberlite core just like a drill, but perhaps not to any great depth.

If anyone else cares to post on the capabilities of the auger drill, i would be interested.

The K3 latest pipe that Ashton reported is about 1/4 of a mile in diameter.
