I don't know if this is related but I found dozens of Rave related sites on the net. Here is an explanation of a Rave:

My guess is that these kiosks help students find places to party and listen to hard rock music. Or, I'm totally off base. Must be coin operated or paid for by advertising, can't imagine the schools paying for it.

Carol,

Rave was put together to build and write the software to
allow users to put there face into a video that is showing
at the movie site (ie UA General Mann's) This is a joint
project with some well known entertainment companies. There
will be some press releases coming put do to sign-offs needed
I can't say names at this time(other than RAVE's)The beta units
can be viewed in Santa Monica with an appointment and a non-
discloser not to take pictures or transmit any tech. information
about the unit. Wish I could say more, but IT IS REAL.
