Wizard, You're hit it....Methinks it may have been decided on the financials in the STB competition.. Gen Instrument may have been "buying in" on the early contracts, just to have their technology in the market...then they might now have to run the price down the learning curve too quickly, as their costs come down, and they end up making a decent profit in the second and subsequent waves of boxes... Don't KNOW that's the case, but the logic seems compelling that LSI SHOULD have had that market, when they were ready to supply the market NOW! It's a goofy world sometimes.. TSO
