That was an excellent article. So if INTC might win the next generation chip then so could LSI perhaps... Any way it looks like this STB business could be huge. Come to think of it satellite STB may have a bigger place in the rest of the world esp. Asia (?) than cable STB. So maybe LSI is not going to miss the whole boat by not being in the cable STB arena.

On the hard drive sector, this looks like the 2nd push. Through total lack of planning I happen to be fairly heavily weighted in DDX directly and indirectly. When I bought I was fully prepared to wait and wait I will if I have to - this rise may reverse if the market tanks or some such disaster happens. Nice thing about the DDX sector - fewer players than say semis - bad part - the non US ones are doing better - Maxtor and Fujitsu (and one US one IBM).

On Borland, they are definitely in the software group(!) but they are undergoing a pretty dramatic reshaping of the company. So it will take some time. I'm waiting for this Q's results. I think their enterprise market - their future goal - is going very well.
