Del, I had not thought of the concept of some people scarring more heavily before. It looked to me like the stitching the doctor did was not delicate enough, or that he used sutures that were too large for the very fine skin around the eyes, but that is just a lay opinion, and I am not sure what really happened.

Everyone's experience is different, and I would not want to scare anyone by telling them the story of what happened to my friend, implying the same thing would happen to them. What I did hope you would get from it is just that plastic surgery really is surgery, and that it is traumatic to your body even if it goes splendidly, and it really hurts a lot. I think people have gotten so complacent about cosmetic surgery that sometimes they just do not realize there can be serious problems, or uneven results. Every article about this in women's magazines is a cautionary tale, in that there is always at least a paragraph warning of the possible dangers. But human nature being what it is, I think we usually skip the yucky stuff!!
