Mang, it's my understanding the only difference between the one you bought and the others on the shelves was the box says V.90...the hardware is still the same. The V.90 code is downloaded during setup.

It sounds like COMS needs to do some massive advertising.

I noticed when the standard was agree on last month, that
they started having full page adds in the WSJ. They
did this a few times.

I don't read a lot of PC mags, but I get the feeling that
some advertising/educating has started, but not enough.

I wonder what COMS strategy is on this part. Maybe they're
expecting the ISPs to do this work??

I think people on the thread should alert readers to any major
advertisements - especially on TV (I'm hoping). I don't
watch TV, so I wouldn't know if they had TV ads.

I would take this as a very good sign (imo qualifier as usual).
