Well, if we're talking technical, as in TA plenty. Even the most ardent of TA fans claim that it is a short-term window and is always over-ridden by news. And if you are a curmudgeon like me, you might point to the fact that there is no evidence that it works.

The second part of your strategy - When I see the sector or the entire market start to tail off I will probably exit. sounds a lot like what I was saying originally (unless you're talking about stock price). I would exit when it no longer looks like this is a good growth stock (as defined by robust increases in free cash flow over a multi-year time frame).

But then, that's my strategy, and its predicated on my belief that I can't out-guess the market and I don't like to pay capital gains taxes, and I don't like to pay brokerage fees -- I guess I'm just cheap <VBG>. This approach netted me 58.3% over last twelve months

Regards,

Paul
