Recipe for success:

Quality Factor

The ostrich approach isn't working. They need to spend some serious money on improving the quality of the drive, the cartridge specs and the pitiful, tragic software. To those who claim at the top of their lungs that the products are reliable I say: why are you yelling and what prompts you to keep yelling it over and over?

Form Factor

The external Zip drive shows a complete and total lack of design effort to create a compact, streamlined, attractive product. Everything from the datacable to the powercord is screaming cheezy prototype!

Price Factor

As peripheral prices plummet, Zip drives remain relatively constant. The goal: meet next quarters numbers. They missed, big-time, and now they should take the opportunity to bring the costs down significantly and achieve true ubiquity.
