Crunch, I don't bet, because, over time, you can only lose money. The only way you make money is if you are lucky and then you quit. (Nobody quits.)

However, if I *were* to bet, I certainly would bet the DON'T PASS (Or PASS) line, as you suggest, because it's the bet that the house takes the least on, and that gives you the highest probability of walking away with a profit. The payout on the line bets is something like 99.8%. More "exciting" games have payouts as low as 80%. (This is from memory, don't crucify me if the numbers aren't exactly right.)

Almost every other bet (with a few exceptions) is a "suckers bet".

I'm not sure why you are criticial of someone who would be smart enough to take the most advantageous bet, and avoid those that are a blatent ripoff.

I guess you'd be betting single numbers on the roulette wheel.
