I have been following PLAT for some time. They seem to be heading in the right direction. They are very selective in their purchases. They also have closed some significant deals with Lucent and Intel. Their pre-announcement of earnings this quarter shows that their Year 2000 solution tools have sold very well, especially considering other Year 200 companies results such as Viasoft. Additionally, why would LBMSY management agree to paying PLAT money if the deal does not go through, unless they could see that the merger was for the better of LBMSY ?
