<<PX you should get a kick out of this:>>
But maybe not this:

"International Data Corp., a market-research firm in Framingham, Mass., estimates that PCs that cost more than $1,500, long the bulk of the market, will decline from 61% of all computers and computer-like devices this year to 18% by the year 2001; a new breed of low-end appliances will go from 4% to 42% of the market over the same period, IDC estimates."

Re: MS AUI

History will repeat.

Other small, innovative shops will create the first really functional form of AUI. MS will buy it or rip it off, and in the process will probably stonewall the growth path for the innovators. This isn't necessarily a bad thing since small innovating shops often have trouble with marketing, finance, and distribution.

Note that MS already has a piece of LHSPF.

God bless,
PX
