I should have been more explicit. The microdisplay I was referring to is the LC on silicon (LCoS) technology, where the active electronic part of the display is actually an integrated circuit chip (on silicon) and the active display part is a liquid crystal layer laminated on the top of the IC. It's different, for example, from the little light-transmitting displays from Kopin. The LCoS displays may or may not be full color, depending on how they are configured, and which LC technology is used. JimA
