Curtis,

The last month has been very good to the telecom sector. There has been a lot of good press about internet growth and IP telephony, to name just two areas of interest to us. Looking at PSInet, I would guess that a lot of people have been interested in the company, but were waiting to see signs that they were able to remain viable; what is happening with the stock reflects a belief that their business plan is sound and that the stock is undervalued.

I'm not very good at valuing a company, but I do work in telephony and what PSInet is trying to do is bold and, frankly, is the kind of aggressive management that telco's are going to require to succeed in the future. Does it involve risk? Sure, but I'd rather invest my money in risk that is backed up by educated aggressiveness than invest in risk that involves hoping that management will start being more aggressive! After all, in the end, I have only myself to blame if my investment doesn't work out - the company was not looking for me, I was looking for a good investment.

That's my two cents.
