I must be missing something here, maybe someone on this board can help. I have read reports on Iridium that outline the following:

Iridium will cost close to 6 Billion to build.
The service will cost from 3 - 6 dollars per minute while on system.
For close to $3,000, customers will receive a Sat Phone, a cell phone and a pager. (3 devices)

I compare this to what I have read on GSTRF:

Globalstar will cost 2.5 Billion to build.
The service will cost .45 cents per minute.
For $750, customers will get one phone which is a cell phone, a sat phone and a pager all in one. (1 device)

Do I have this right???? And if so, why would anyone choose IRIDF over GSTRF?
