Mark, what do you think about the implications for Apple? I'm surprised it hasn't taken a sympathy hit -- clearly G3's are not selling at the rate the SI Apple board has been hoping. Adbe is #2 software seller on Macs, so it would have to show if Apple's sales were growing (and Adbe's mac sales actually shrunk 38% year over year). I'm thinking Apple is going to have much lower quarterly revenue than the $1.6B in last year's comparable quarter. This is backed up by indications I've heard recently that G3's won't exceed 300k units this quarter (i.e., may just meet analyst expectations). (VP Mitch Mandich was apparently quoted in Oregonian newspaper on 3/25 as saying they are on track for 300k units this quarter.) I know Apple is also propped up by Columbus hopes, but it seems like it ought to take a hit short term as people realize that Mac sales are not as great as hoped.

Also wondered if it's a good time to buy puts on MACR -- seems like if Adobe sneezes macromedia ought to be catching pneumonia, but it's holding so far too.
