(OTC Bulletin Board: PKGP - news) announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, the Association of Packagers and Carriers (APAC), held its first-ever Advisory Council meeting in Las Vegas, NV, March 20-22, 1998. Several high-profile vendors made presentations to the Council on exclusive programs available only to APAC members. Kodak introduced its new Image Magic Picture Maker, Nova Information Systems, Inc. discussed special credit card processing rates, and Thrifty Car Rental outlined the marketing partnership it is developing for APAC members, said DeLeone, who served as moderator. The redevelopment of the APAC website, useapac.com, was also enthusiastically discussed. Reconstruction of the website is scheduled to be completed June 1, 1998. Richard Altomare, Chairman of Packaging Plus Services, parent company of APAC, also made a presentation to the Council members expressing his vision of APAC. The Advisory Council is composed of representatives from all regions across the country and APAC staff. The Council functions as an advisory body to form strategy, plan goals, and review vendors to enhance the profitability of APAC members.
