David, Your either one shrewd fellow, or need help. I suggest Gamblers' Anonymous. I made money last December shorting MSFT and am so far doing the same again. The amounts aren't much and I cover as soon as the trend starts to move the other way on my chart. I lost a couple of other times but covered so fast that I am now ahead on MSFT shorting overall. Since those two losses I've developed a new charting method (unlike anything I've seen elsewhere - it's based in econometric/statistical time series theory) which has a pretty good record on the historical data I've tested it on.
