Unfortunately, I've lost so much that a crash would only bring me back to where I was before. It would be nice if the market crashed in stages, starting with the stocks I am short: ZONA to $2 a share next week, AVNT to $9 a share the week after, BFIT to $5 a share the week after. Then the crash could move on to other stocks, YHOO, AMZN, AOL, &c, &c ...

"The market will crash when the big boys decide to cash in their chips and play golf. "

A few years ago, I worked across the street from a golf company, in a building that shared a parking lot with a couple of their production facilities. I made a good call on the stock based on parking lot fullness, and made a bundle on call options.

I'm going to be once again working in close proximetry to said golf company, starting on the 1'st.

I will be watching the parking lot carefully! :)

Steve,
The market has hit resistance at 9000 and probably is the price point that fund managers set as a profit point. Also this is the end of the Q for funds and they window dress their portfolios now for the reports to shareholders. Always uncertain markets on the Q's.
