I like the Orbcomm concept, because it provides worldwide messaging at a reasonable cost. I suspect the Magellan handsets will come down to several hundred $$, the range at which volume sales will take place. While Orbcomm does not provide voice, the $5 per minute break even price (what I've heard) of Iridium will be a real sticker shock, especially when they are going after an international market. For the US market, cellular is widespread enough that it is not necessary to pay those premium prices. So I think that Orbcomm has a great opportunity to exploit the worldwide market for inexpensive messaging.

mohan- your reference in your 1357 says:"The implementation of a customer-care and billing system ...is one of the ten milestones in ORBCOMM's countdown to Global Service". Can anyone tell me what the other nine are and how many have been achieved so far? Thank you. Tom P
