Sunny,re:"..deferred earning". Well, at least enough to beat WS
estimates for the new 2 quarters handsomely. I think what is
happening is MSFT is mad about WS's questioning MSFT's money making
ability/quality.

I don't believe MSFT has done the 'positive earning surprise warning
before'.

Depending on how WS questions, MSFT will pull out more and more
surprise as needed. MSFT would not want you/DOJ to know how good
monopoly is? It's "as good as it gets".

I have never seen as good a business as MSFT is in. The more
hardware advance, the more MSFT benefits and you know that hardware
always advances and it's been amazing the last several years.

MSFT can now upgrade software every year and nobody needs to upgrade
the hardware ( I hope ). I think the current PC is good for most
application for at least 5 years, so people won't feel pain when
they need to upgrade to win98 win2000, win2002 and maybe win2004.

I cannot even think of upgrading from win3.1 to win95 on my 486,
500meg HD.

Hopefully my next PC would allow me to keep pace with winXXXX for
at least couple of versions.

How many upgrades we have so far!!! If none up to earning and MSFT
is drifting around, get ready for a BIGGER (> 10%) surprise. I think
BILL is MAD. MSFT should be around 100 around earning report.

Just an observation and nothing for/against MSFT. If any, I'm biased
against MSFT because I don't have big holding in MSFT and I don't
like monopoly. But who cares, as long as money is good.

I really think we should elect Bill Clinton to as many terms as
possible as long as he is spreading the wealth (by design or
co-incidence).
