TDW share buyback. Sorry if this was posted already:

Tidewater to buy back up to $200 mln in shrs

NEW ORLEANS, March 27 (Reuters) - Tidewater Inc. said on Friday its board has authorized the company to spend $200 million to repurchase shares of common stock.

Such repurchases will be made through open-market or privately negotiated transactions, the company said in a statement.

The company intends to use its available cash and, when considered advantageous, borrowings under its revolving credit facility to fund the share repurchase, Tidewater said.

The repurchase program will end when all authorized funds have been expended or on March 31, 1999, the company said. Under its previous stock purchase program, the company bought 3.3 million shares for $149.8 million since December 1996.

Currently, about 59.4 million shares of common stock are outstanding.

Should be an interesting afternoon. Seems like any upcoming battles will be between those that bet OPEC will achieve a deal..and those that think the cartel will self-destruct before Monday.
As is evident..My slant is to bet that some sort of an agreement will be reached. These great Manos from OPEC, if nothing else..do business with their spoken words. The world is watching if they can live up their words this weekend..and my view is affirmed by the price of oil today holding in a good range [really anything above $15 looks good for the drillers].
Good luck to all.
