<< QWST wasn't much more when it IPO'd. >>

that's patently false. QWST had 90% of its rights-of-way nailed down, had dark fiber sales well in excess of $1 billion, and had most of the capital for the complete 13,000 mile network in hand, and had fixed cost supply agreements with NT and LU in place, all BEFORE the IPO. QWST also did investors the courtesy of filing one of the most detailed prospectuses i've ever read. who can say for sure what L3's business plan is?

$3 billion in cash + Crowe's resume = $11 billion market cap? QWST's market cap after the first day of public trading was around $2.7 billion, and they were way ahead of where LVLT is today.

if you had $1000 and you had to invest it today in either QWST or LVLT, which would you pick and why?

(for purposes of conversation, let's assume the LCI merger goes ahead as planned.)

thanks,
mark
