"I just placed an order to sell half my shares". I hope your order didn't execute, it's 12:45 PM EST
and AAPL is up 9/16, too many positive events from now till April 15th.

It sure did. Apple's up but not by much. I play out a couple of scenarios a day or two ahead on my spreadsheet model and knew Apple would look even weaker today (using my method) which ever way the price moved. The move basically pays off the margin loan I made to buy Apple just as the run-up from January started. I still have Apple but at a lower average cost and less leverage. Maybe I'll put more into shorting MSFT! - that's been going well since Wednesday (as normal I put the order in before the market closes and then wake up in the morning here in Aus and see what happened). I've increased my cash position slightly here in Australia as well.
