I don't think that it was implied that older people were more likely to be dishonest and sell out their name - just that being retirement age is a necessary ingredient to the scenario that was given. (i.e. somebody who was not planning on retiring would not want to poison their future).

In any case, I was just correcting your misperception of what Aleta said. Aleta never said that older people were less useful than younger people.

I do think it's valid to look for evidence of what Aleta suggested. I don't think any evidence has been found, but it's useful to be aware that it's a possibility and be vigilent.
