I have been watching this company from a distance for many months, as some of you know. The recent flurry of late reminds me of IAIC in Jan '97 when they announced a new Y2K date detection tool set (if you don't know, the stock skyrocketed with plural stock splits in just 4 months). They traded well with no Y2K contracts.

Although it seems clear that TPI is in the field working on their Y2K applications, there is still no underlying contract. The Bemer thing still sounds weird.

In any case, the similarities between TPI '98 and IAIC '97 are amazing.

I had a substantial position in the stock a year ago and later sold out. But I bought in yesterday with a token amount of shares. But I'm still looking for the crucial contract announcement.

I'm very impressed with Samantha Chapman at TPI. Ever since her name appeared, the stock has been up. TPI seems to be making a concerted, organized and friendly effort to inform their shareholders and the marketplace about themselves.

With all the hype mounting over Y2K, the stock could move well with a solid big-name contract in Y2K. If so, it would have to be watched carefully because it might get overvalued very quickly. It might turn into a momentum play.

Good luck to all.

dave
