JAC,but how would he avoid possible legal hassels unless he parted quickly from the scene and would he not be still held accountable as others were in the SIM lawsuit? Good point. Note that Meatchem is one of the people being sued and he hasn't been around too long. Why no activity in ESVS This stock doesn't trade much, but less activity now. Just speculation, maybe people are waiting to see what happens with the NETZ deal. If I had owned ESVS for a long time, I certainly wouldn't jump out right away. OFF-TOPICI BROKE THEM ALL!! OH WELL!!! Most of us that are asking questions have been there, done that. Though honestly I've never borrowed money to invest with, I've made my share of mistakes and hopefully learned from them. I didn't ask questions at first. I, like many new investors looked for that get rich quick wonder. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your POV) I learned quickly that it doesn't exist. It was a $4500 mistake that I hope never to repeat. I use search engines a lot to get information on companies in which I may invest. Don't always try the most obvious key words. An example I gave the other day was in searching for information on Hayton, I used the keyword "Waterford Investments". I was able to retrieve more information that way. These are my favorite search engines:beaucoup.com metacrawler.com dogpile.com I also call the companies execs or people they have done business with previously. I don't care for IR or PR firms because it is their job to promote the company. That's what they get paid to do. I remember one time calling a company I was interested in and a temp answered the phone. I was able to get a lot of info out of her because she didn't know not to tell me anything, like, what is the size of the office, how many people do you see working there, is the office in good order (effiecent), what kind of business does it look like they do, have you been busy today, etc. etc. etc..... Anyway I think you get the idea. The main thing is it's your money(well most of the time<g>). You have the right to question anything and everything that bothers you, even if you see the potential.
