In response to the above, I thought I made obvious that yes, I have been questioning my wisdom of holding on to FTEL, I have acknowledged my error in disregarding my own rules, and also accepting the responsibility. So it is not "re-assurance", nor "hand holding" that I seek. I am however interested in other opinions, in particular, I value yours, regardless if it dissents with mine. To that end I am responding to your post with interest, in finding the vision you have of FTEL. Specifically, I find interesting, (and I mean this), to find out more, about what you meant by: >>but I'm not doubting that FTEL missed the boat,The boat doesn't have its engines cranked up yet.<< The reason I presented my findings about TELMEX and the ideas in re: Teledesic and Iridium were due to express what I project in my mind how this Internet communication is going/will go. This includes the other players that slowly I see getting involved. But I could be wrong, and given that possibility, I am asking you to give me your vision. It has never been my intention to dissuade people to make decision one way or the other, that is not my job, indeed, that has never appealed to me, you see, I am not a leader, I hate the idea of it. May be there is wisdom in the sayings of Uncle Gonzo: "It is a good thing that scorpions do not have wings" or "Can you imagine flying cows?" (one would surely watch out...) On the other hand, I follow the beat of my own drum, I do not have "leaders", but I also understand that to learn, I need to ask questions, gather data, read, evaluate other people's opinions, (so long they are given with honesty and integrity), then I will make up my own mind, hopefully I have "distilled" all the information in a proper way. So, I would appreciate if you could share with me, your ideas. For now, however, it is tee-off time! Thank you in advance. z.
