(Off Topic) Hi Victor: FYI <<<<<<<<<<< * GENERAL INSTRUMENT CORP said it selected MOTOROLA INC, Broadcom Corp. and Quantum Effect Design Inc. to supply key silicon components for its interactive digital set-top boxes. In a release received here, General Instrument said the selection of the companies is the first in a series and is part of its program of cost-reduction and silicon integration in its digital line. General Instrument recently agreed to provide about 15 million set-top boxes to North American cable operators.
