Jack, and ALL, I talked to Roger Templeton @ DIGITCOM, and here is what I now Know.
1) the Gateway's they use are propietary i.e their Own,
They manufacture them themselves.
2) They support industry standards H.323 for voice and G.729 for fax.
3) thier basic unit has 24 ports but is scalable to 1296ports! yes 1296-WOW.
4) they support both UNIX and NT Platforms.
5)voice compression is 4:1 on NT and 43:1 on Unix---WOW.
6) They are Expanding and moving to a larger facility as I type.
7) the article FWIW sholud be on Newstands tomorrow.
8)They are in negotiations Now overseas. Jimmy Chin should be back near end of month
with more contracts in hand.

There is so much more to say and I don't have time I will be on later tonight, hopefully, If I
get a break in ER tonight.
Oh yes I almost forgot- patent info will be available as soon as I get it.

Byron: Here are the URLs that i have been able to come up with for DVIG. The last two
are from the companies web site and include a little discussion of their technology.
According to their executive summary their are patents on fax and voice hardware and
software. Their IPT gateway is includes full duplex, hardware based compression. Just
like
everyone else, they claim to have toll quality voice transmission. Wish i had more to give
you but information on this company is very limited. Good hunting Bill

Steve: re: best future -- personally I like DGIV (but will
probably get bought out at some point) & I like OZEMY for
a nice "safe" play & LKON (for it's equip.)
Hard to say what's going to shake out eventually...
those that partner with larger entities will also do well..

You have your entreprenurial guerilla marketers (DGIV)
on one end of the spectrum - & then the MOT/NSPK types
on the other. Both should do well.
