Do suppose he drives drunk, I don't see that prohibited in his belief system, do you suppose he is a heroin addict, no laws against that for a religious man.

Oops, looks like you're going over the edge. Graystone, you don't know the first thing about my religious beliefs. They aren't your business, either. When I publically invited any gays to attend my church, I did so because I was asked if I was uncomfortable about being in the presense of homosexuals. Why this question was asked, I'm not sure. Someone obviously had some preconceived notions about me. Since there was so much vehemence on this thread at the time regarding conservative Christians being purveyers of hate, I hastened to add that any gays would be treated with the decency and respectfulness accorded any visitor, and I added my personal guaranty.

Of course you know this, but unfortunately you would rather insist that I do not "accept" people who don't share my same religious beliefs. This drumbeat of hatred on this thread towards people of faith is most troubling; but not necessarily surprising. The founding Fathers of the USA foresaw this possibility, and indeed had in many cases personally experienced religious persecution themselves; so it was foremost in their minds to enact Constitutional protections for people of religious faiths. Thank God they were so wise.
