Hi Leslie, Welcome to the thread. You're right, the gov't (actually lots of govt's) could be a big wild card for them. I think I remember the DoD saying they liked both systems, can't remember exactly why they chose IRIDF for that first contract but I'd guess it's the global coverage and security. The military is where the "who cares about the poles" argument becomes moot. They want it to work no matter where they are and the fact it's a single system makes it more secure. Phil
