I wonder what reason can push you to short Apple. I have been following thoroughly any piece of news about Apple, and there is no enough information in that sense. The next quarter eps estimated is not very high. So this is really risky. Lest you are playing long term, on your anti-Apple feeling, which is also dangerous with the advent of Rhapsody. I followed a different tactic. I bought a lot at 17.5 and sold recently at 26 1/8. I don't know what will happen in the next month, and wanted to take my benefits. If the next quarter is ok, I buy back because I will be first on the roof, and won't loose more than 10 %, I guess. If it is not, I may buy a little later, just before the developer conference, where rhapsody is to be announced. Because Rhapsody is really a big hit in term of functionalities, and already has a considerable market in the traditionnaly anti Microsoft scientific market In any case, remember that Apple has a solid client base, on an expanding market, and good products. So it is more likely that the stock will keep a decent aspect for the following years

Andon,

Considering that Apple has been making new highs, and is near that high now, you must be losing money. So you're not in a very good position to be taunting the longs, are you?

Linda

Sorry that you misunderstood. What I meant was that as the stock price falls below $20, I will have a party to celebrate it's demise. And coincidentally as I greow richer by my short position, I will be celebrating the taking of your money from you and all your Apple cult buddies.

Think of it this way (and think of it frequently), for every dollar which you lose as a long position, I gain as a short.

Oh, I understand completely. I'm just saying that I don't believe you. The only thing you're short on is brains. . .

You're bluffing on your position and just trying to be a heckler. If not, then you've got to be one real dumb-ass. . .

Did enjoy my weekend, thank-you. Spent some of the money I've earned on my long aapl positions. Some rare picture books on Venice, and a very nice pair of hand-made Italian boots.

Good luck on your "short" position.
