SGI only drop 3/16 today from the bad bad news. It would have dropped to $10 if this happened in '97. All the tech stocks including ADBE, COMS, DS, KMAG, MU, SGI just ignored the bad news. You can call the market insane. IMO SUNW already discounted the bad taste from WS (HP-JAVA and SGI), or it will reach all time high as MSFT & CSCO. So I wouldn't worry too much at 41 3/4. This company holds the treasure - JAVA. Within a few years, JAVA will be in your car, TV/VCR, ATM card, cellular phone. Then WS will wake up.

Dear Kemble: I cant speak with the authority as others on this thread who are more technically inclined than myself. However, there are 3 things about SUNW that interest me. 1) Hands down I believe everyone agrees they have the best, although expensive, hardware and frankly that is what their real product is at this time as license fees are miniscule. 2) They are moving, I believe, big time into the storage market. I have owned EMC for awhile and have come to believe that that market is expanding very fast, plenty of room for several big players, so opportunity there which I have not seen analysts talk about, 3) Finally its the JAVA language allowing the "thin" card which I believe ultimately will revolutionize almost every aspect of our lives within the next 3 years. For these reasons I hang on, but like you I too am wondering when "OUR" ship will come in. JDN
