This is not, of course, an omen - but when I click on Ramtron's URL at ramtron.com I get a blank screen and the 'document done' message. RichardW.

Hi Richard !! Re #5031

You must really think I know something...oh...what have I done...

Personally ain't worried about EEPROM...have read EDNA Jan 15 EEPROM:
survival of the fittest only a mere mention of FRAM as a L/T alternative...however given FRAMS superior characteristics over
EEPROM and FRAM-EEPROM price parity to be reached this year...(hopefully no delays here) would expect FRAM to make significant inroads...eventually...when is another matter

The article mentioned ST (plus a few others) offering 'flash memory and true EEPROM on one die'...so in the future I can imagine flash&FRAM on one die...but again can't assess the benefit - someone asked me earlier about ST-Mitsubishi flash deal (AMD-Fujitsu also comes to mind) ...didn't have an answer at the time (hence didn't answer)thinking about it now....wouldn't be surprised if something
were cooking in this area. (maybe it's a bit early for that)......In any case, I look at current EEPROM applications as potential FRAM applications...(of course not across the board - certainly need a lot of technical knowledge to 'speculate' further here...which I don't have)...believe FRAM is going to make a lot of inroads have to remember commercial supply of FRAM has only just begun....

down quite a few $s but still optimistic and looking forward
to Mr Johnston's report on rmtr...
