Darn.< Actually the key virtue to the Newton is its size - 1.25 lbs versus 8 lbs for that brick of a 3400 you've got. Weeks of use from four plain AA batteries; full internet access; and the fact that you can enter/edit text with a stylus while standing on a street corner/rush hour; and mega-cool ooh-ahh styling make this a real nice toy. For example, there's a fair amount of medical management programs for doctors and nurses making rounds. soup (I'm evil.)
