Spinning Tops

I don't recall the time horizon you're looking at but Dahl's Primary Trend is a great little indicator for the intermediate/longer trend

Mov(C,55,S) - Ref(Mov(C,55,S),-15)

As you can see it is an oscillator. When it is plotted it is visually easy to interpret

Jurgen,
Punched in your TrendScore as indicator, filter and system. I suspect you wouldn't use it as a primary signal, but just wanted to play and see...sooooo, in sorted strong symbols like IBD 85/85, it had astonishing good stats. Next crossed it against a random list of symbols, not surprisingly its stat dropped, but still showed a lot of merits. Then tested it in various time horizons and in combination with other criteria. Generally performed well, but it was very elegant when optimized or used on pre-sortd symbols. I had a lot of fun with it. Many thanks and best regards, ST
