Rondeveau in Vancouver!!
It would be both very informative and fun to attend the meeting on May 28. I would look forward to meeting the people on this thread who could attend. To those who think it is a possibility how about a plan to meet??!!

Off Topic to Chip and CLK,

thanks for bringing up that Churchill quote. That is a very good point. The primary emphasis of the EU from it's earliest days have always been the political and economic integration of Europe in order to control the economic and military might of Germany and prevent another world war. This is almost never mentioned in public but is very clear if you read the debates on the subject and read the discussions among the European political elite. You can not underestimate the strength of this motivation even today. As recently as last year Kohl himself was making comments about the importance of linking Germany to western Europe in order to control it's 'historic movement' to the east.

>Cecil Rhodes<
I don't believe Churchill shared Rhodes imperialistic aims nor subscribed
to the Novus Ordo Seculorum. Churchill's heart wrote those words and from
his impotence in facing the machines of WW I-II.

I also believe that any attempt to create such an 'order of compliance'
will fail in this new age of technology...for many reasons. Sure...there
may be massive intervention in our currency markets and historical manipulation
of Gold by knowledgeable central bankers. But these interventions are
working for shorter and shorter periods of time.....and there effects are
being mitigated by the enormous new democratization of the free world.
But I have not followed the inner secreats of this hidden fraternity.
I will leave it to others to decifer.
