You sound desperate tonight, Andon... or is it just my impression? AAPL stock is behaving *amazingly well*!! Even after the tremendous run-up from january until today, there has been almost no profit taking whatsoever, it's a straight line to the sky. It's solid as a rock. And this is nothing compared to what will come after april 15 and the shareholders' meeting on the 22nd. The quarter results will shock the analysts, and you, Andon, will die from a heart attack. And there are so many good news coming: -upgrades from all the analysts after the 15th -MacOS 8.5 (more revenues for Apple) -Rhapsody for powerpc and *intel* (enormous potential source of revenue) -new *lightning fast* G3 300 mhz and beyond powerbooks -copper powerpcs -AMP/eMac/NCs revolutionary appliances (read the editorial on ThessaSource "The coolness factor" by Ron Logee) -deals and more deals (with IBM? with Microsoft?) -etc etc

Andon,

>>Do you Apple groupies really believe that you can determine the direction of the stock price by gobbling up marketing propaganda?<<

Do some of you shorts think you can influence stock price by mindlessly knocking Apple, or is it just satisfactory to your character to post unpleasant remarks?

How can you crow "burn baby, burn" when you have a profit of less than 5/8 point? Don't you think you're exaggerating your success just a tad? Maybe you should cover while you're ahead. We have Phil Lee on our team!

Andon,

We invest on Apple and try to predict its trend based on scientific
and logical forecast. As I said before, we bet on the probabilities of
stock's up or down. Currently, we believe the probability that Q2
result is better than expectations is significantly higher than
otherwise. I bet You have seen in details about how we derive the
outcomes with rational methods. If you have any objection regarding
our data, you can correct us with your rational explanation. Many of
us can provide you with more detailed description regarding your
challenging points.

Phil

Well, since I shorted at 27 1/2 I guess I'm positive so far. If I turn out to be wrong over the next few months I will apologize.
Until then: burn baby burn!

I think you are doing the right thing. I didn't have the heart to sell all my position or reverse to short and only sold half. If earnings turn out at analysts predictions or better AAPL should go up again however.

<<That's old news. All the "insights" you can possibly glean from what you
read is already factored into the stock price. Do you think that you
have some inside knowledge about the earnings report next month that
nobody else has? Don't you realize that the information about Rhapsody
and other positive product announcements is what go the stock to this
level? ALL the positive news is out. We are now set up for a negative
surprise.>>

I have to disagree on this one, Andon. Most of us here follow Apple much more closely than do market analysts... they don't have the time to devote to it.

Yeah, right... I'm convinced this guy's position is a complete fantasy. Any "short" this kid has is probably somewhere between his brain stem and cerebral cortex.

If I turn out to be wrong over the

Pretty safe bet - considering your freebie account will vanish in less than 30 days. I suggest you think about changing your shorts.

Until then: burn baby burn!

We'll just see who gets burned, Smokey.
