Pat: It seems ORCTF is in the drivers seat for DT, but I really haven't been following DT that closely. DT has a large installed base of ISDN, and ORCTF has a product that provides ADSL over ISDN. ORCTF has G.lite and DSL heavy, HDSL, VDSL and they are in the black. ORCTF also has a partnership with Siemens for VDSL, partnership with Lucent for the Netherlands PTT, partnership with Fujitsu for silicon, etc, etc.

I would think every equipment vendor is bidding for the GTE-ILEC business... including ORCTF/Fujitsu, Alcatel, Ericsson/AWRE, etc. If GTE wants a DMT solution now, Westell isn't ready, unless they use the AMTX Allegro equipment. This could come down to another low ball bid by a large equipment manufacturer,... BC all over again. Rumor has it GTE will announce soon... until later.
