I'm trying to figure out how one finds out how many shares are outstanding and the float on a Nasdaq BB stock. If market makers can trade between themselves is there any way to find the true volume on a BB stock. I heard that Nasdaq BB double posts buys and sells so if a stock trades 50000 shares which are double posted than that is only 25000 and if the market makers were trading what appeared to be big volume is not.

I have spent most my time in the Canadian Markets ASE,VSE,TSE, these are stock markets and disclosure is different than the Nasdaq BB which is not even a stock Market.
