ACNTF >>I love this kind of comment. Everyone hates a winner. Gogo, how does someone become worth $45,000,000,000 selling VERY POOR QUALITY to 21% of the worlds population? Dumb comment.<< I use lot's of MS products. Especially with new products or new versions (not just releases), it's still true, VERY POOR Quality. Now the questions: Why is MS so successful and why do I use their products? MS has good ideas (or they "borrow" them from other small companies), and an excellent marketing. MS is fast and has the power to push everything into the market. MS controls the office SW and everything linked to it. If ACNTF is successful, you should watch MS trying to buy them out. Others talked about LHSPF, but just consider that LHSPF's recent success is 100% dependent on MS. (Next paragr. are more for Charles and Mitch): What is a good strategy for a small company to place a new idea/technology/product in the market? I don't know. However, one of the most successful paths in the last years for SW companies was to start with SW bundling or with freeware. Look at Netscape. The browser was free (now again free). They occupied the market with free browsers and then sold all their expensive server products. It worked. Now they have problems, but this is a different story. Why shouldn't the same strategy work for ACNTF. They have no cash, they have problems to keep their developers? And? That is true for most small companies not having really entered the marked. I'm in the IT industry, too. The last 10 years I worked in the service area, international large and complex SW development and System Integration programs. Within this programs we subcontracted hundreds and thousands of small SW companies, providing services or new products. Most of them had similar problems with cash and developers, but most of these companies made their way. Yes, there is a risk, but their is a large potential, too. I believe in the idea and the strategy ACNTF has chosen to enter the market and reserve a significant share of it. Last but not least, I trust that the major league players (CPQ, DELL, Media-Markt, etc.) have done their homeworks. That's enough for me to not jump the ship. Gogo
