MOGN fans, I also had a hard laugh at Richard's comment. Even if I did not care much for MOGN, I would read this thread just to catch Richard's comments. I'm also really curious about what will be presented on MGI 114 this weekend. It will be interesting to see what unfolds with MGI 114 now and over the next few months. After a long quiet period, things are beginning to get stirred up a bit with that drug. The fact that MGI 114 has untold potential is what juices me about MOGN. When you think of the cancer types now being targeted and the fact that we are about to enter phase II in concert with the NCI and a likely European partner...WOW! Salagen is worth our attention too. Salagen helps the people who take it salivate (or "drool"). I don't take it but it helps me sleep. It is the backbone of this investment. Lori Weiman said yesterday that they are having their Salagen for Sjogren's launch meeting this weekend (It is interesting that this is happening concurrently with the AACR meeting). I asked her about the absence of a web-site again and she said that the advertising/pr people have all been heavily involved in the Salagen/Sjogren's launch. That's good. This coming Wednesday, April 1st, is the launch day and a landmark event for MGI Pharma. I asked Lori who has been buying all of their stock. She said a lot of different people and no one in particular; IR has been very busy lately. My take on all of this is that no single event is responsible for the surge in activity in MOGN over the last 10 days. Once the 250,000 share overhang was taken out of the way, a logjam was cleared for the stock to reach its fair price. Months ago Rick Harmon said the price should be $7/share and that was before Salagen was approved for Sjogren's. Now we have approval and the launch day is here. The current and coming events surrounding MGI 114 will bring a lot of attention to the drug and MGI Pharma. Essentially, I think a few of the right people finally noticed MOGN, saw that the log jam was clear, and they and a lot of people who listen to them collectively said "Ah ha!" My vibes tell me that any major announcement regarding MGI 114 (e.g. European partner or phase II) is at least a month away. However, it sure would be great to be wrong. David
