Dr. Wexler, I am sure you are aware of the differences in Viagra and the generic drug from Zonagen but here is a short review. PFE,s Viagra is approved and on its way to drug stores as we write, the PFE reps have been pushing it to Dr,s for some time and the Docs have been lining up patients in anticipation of approval which was announced on Friday. All outlets should have the drug within two weeks. The PFE drug does not cause the penis to get hard, it allows normal reaction to stimulation in 70% of the study group. PFE is predicting $300 million sales this year. The cost is $7 per pill wholesale plus markup plus script. The Zonagen story is much different and reportedly will work to produce a hard penis as soon as administered which isn't natural at all. Also it should be noted that the erection lasts up to three hours in most patients. The ED market seems lost to ZONA if they ever get approval but the Porno Film Star market will embrace the technology and it could become a boutique drug for the same reason. cdaiseyPhd/MD@bcm.edu
