Investmentideas: thehartford.com [while at Hartford's website,click on 'Hartford's Management Team' to see profile on Ramani Iyer-CEO] The Hartoford - [NYSE-HIG] ITT Industries- {NYSE-IIN} ITT/Sheraton now part of the Starwood Hotel group.[NYSE-HOT] I was a shareholder of ITT before the divestiture,I bought the shares after hearing the rumor about the break-up of the company into 3 companies [ITT/Heraton,ITT Industries,and Hartford Insurance].Needless to say it turned out be very profitable,the only regret I have is that I sold the stocks I got after the break-up in all three companies.It would have been much more profitable if I kept them,oh well hindsight. I still think all three are still good long term investments,but hardly suitable for trading. Only yesterday the Market Monitor guest on NBR recommended ITT industries as one of his picks.
